We collect information you provide directly and information generated when you use the service:

• Account data: name, email address, password hash, role, and profile details
• Business data: business name, services, products, hours, branding, and client records you enter
• Transaction data: bookings, orders, invoices, and payment metadata (payment card data is processed by Stripe, not stored by us)
• Communications: support messages, notifications, and marketing preferences where you opt in
• Technical data: IP address, browser type, device information, and usage logs needed to operate and secure the service

3. How We Use Information & Legal Bases

Where applicable data protection laws require a legal basis, we rely on the following:

• Contract: to provide the platform, process bookings and payments, and support your account
• Legitimate interests: to secure the service, prevent fraud, improve features, and understand aggregate usage
• Consent: for optional analytics cookies, marketing emails, and newsletter subscriptions
• Legal obligation: where we must retain records for tax, accounting, or regulatory purposes

4. Information Sharing & Processors

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only as needed to run the service, including with trusted processors such as:

• Stripe (payment processing)
• Hosting and infrastructure providers (e.g. Vercel, database hosting)
• Email and notification providers when you enable those features

Processors are engaged under terms that require appropriate safeguards. We may also disclose information when required by law or to protect rights, safety, and security.

5. International Transfers

Bizee is operated from the United States. If you access the service from the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, or other regions with data transfer rules, your information may be transferred to and processed in the United States or other countries where our providers operate. We use appropriate safeguards where required by applicable law.

6. Data Security

We use administrative, technical, and organizational measures to protect personal information, including encrypted connections (TLS), access controls, and authenticated API access. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

7. Data Retention

We retain personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service. Some data may be kept longer where required for legal, accounting, or dispute-resolution purposes. When you delete your account, we remove or anonymize personal data except where retention is legally required or where anonymized records are needed to preserve business integrity (for example, anonymized review references).

• Analytics (optional): understanding how the site is used so we can improve it—only enabled if you opt in

10. Third-Party Services

Bizee is not directed to children under 16 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Contact us if you believe a child has provided personal information.
